How to Store Olive Oil

Do not expose olive oil to direct sunlight. Olive oil can oxidize when it comes into contact with light. Therefore, it is important to store it in a glass or dark-colored bottle.

It is best to keep it at room temperature. Close the cap of the olive oil bottle tightly after each use. This prevents air from getting in and preserves the quality of the oil. If the olive oil begins to take on a sour taste or unpleasant odor, it has probably gone bad or oxidized and should not be used. If olive oil is stored correctly in this way, it can remain fresh and delicious for a long time. However, remember that olive oil has a limited shelf life, so be sure to use fresh and high-quality olive oil.
